Grace the free gift of God. (and more) by vic stock

Grace as many different way's that it is used in bible I will look at a few in this blog. Some of the uses and definitions are as follows :The free gift of God, Mercy, favour, grace teaches , grace is a spirit and the fullness of grace.St John1 1-17

In Genesis God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. Therefore God purpose to destroy both fowls, beast and man with a flood, because men grieved God to his heart. But the bible shows us that Noah found grace in the eyes of God. Favour, mercy and the correct way for mankind to walk on the earth. Noah was a just man and perfect in his generation and he walk with God. Genesis 6

Noah did by nature the thing  contained in the law even before the commandment were given to Moses in the mount. He showed the work of the law written in his heart, his conscience also bearing him witness, and his thoughts the meanwhile accusing or else excusing him. Roman 2 14-15

When other were having two and three wives Noah just satisfied with one , when other were bowing down before Gods made out of wood, stone, braze, The sun and the moon . Noah worshipped  the God of  his forefather, Seth the son of Adam, who is Jehovah God, A Holy, A invisible, Immortal, eternal and all powerful God. So Noah found Grace, favour, The Word of God (CHRIST).

Hence when judgement  came upon the world (The flood) Noah was saved. The grace of god that brings salvation taught Noah to deny ungodliness

Next Abraham interceded for sodom before the Lord. Genesis 18 22-33
Grace (Mercy) was shown to Lot when God purposed to destroy sodom.God sent the angels to deliver lot and his family from sodom.  The angel said to Lot ,"We will destroy this place; because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the Lord; and the Lord hath sent us to destroy it". Genesis 19.

Abundance of Grace (is free); It is not  something you work for it is the free gift of God ministered through Jesus christ. For by grace are you saved through faith; and not of yourself it is the free gift of God. Ephesians 2 8-9 Christ is Gods gift, mercy, and grace to a sinful world.
Jesus did the work with his death on the cross we must believe it and walk in his word. Roman 5 6-21 explains how that when we were with out strength Christ died the just for the unjust us. Christ died for us before the foundation of the world. Revelation 5 1-6, Isaiah 53 . 2 Timothy1 9.

Grace teaches; For the grace of God that bringth salvation have appeared to all men, Teaching us that denying ungodliness we should live soberly righteously  and  godly, in the this present world. So you see that once you have given over to grace it doesn't stop there it teaches you how to live so that you might be approved before God.

Grace and truth come through Jesus Christ hence the people who found great mercy, favour and salvation with God in the old testament, also saw in a figure, shadow and by faith  Christ.
