Please note I did not write these comment's but I agree with most of want is being said. victor.s
lets start by quoting deut 22:5
Deut 22:5
5 "A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman's garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the LORD your God. NKJV
This makes cross dressing a sin! God makes it plain that men and women are not to wear similar garments, as this is an abomination to God. God created men and women. And women were not created equal with men. The bible makes it plain that men are head to women in many places. I wont go into those scriptures here because it would make this post too long for most people to take the time to read. But lets look at the command.
this verse makes it plain that women are not to wear clothing that men wear. and vise versa. there is to be a distinct difference in the way that men and women dress! And as men are the head, they decide what shall be masculine dress, and feminine dress. Men wear blue jeans. thus women should not wear blue jeans! men wear t-shirts, thus women should not wear t-shirts. women wear nylons, this men should not wear nylons. women wear dresses, thus men should not wear dresses.
for a woman to wear what her head wears is an attempt to declare herself equal with her superior. this is an abomination to God. women want to wear things that pertain to men in our culture to make a statement of equality with men. this is an abomination to God! Women need to put themselves in the place that God intends them to be in and not think of themselves more highly then they ought to think!
So yes this is a sin that God will put women in hell for. thus women need to repent.
This comment was corrected by myself spelling was corrected and three uses of superior were changed to the word head that is all of the correction made here Victor.s

(skirts) No they do not wear them to the floor all the time but usually they wear them at least to their knees. I have to disagree with you Lovebird because whether or not we want to acknowledge it women in America just started wearing pants about 50 yrs ago. This includes women that were Pentecostals and those that were not because skirts have always been looked at as modest. But ponder about this… why is it that there is usually a difference in dress amongst men and women in most religions around the world. If we choose to dismiss the scripture Deuteronomy 22:5 as merely meaning the difference in the cut of women and men’s pants then where should the line be drawn. I have heard people say men should wear lose pants and women should where fitted pants. But then how much is too fitted, and what about the wide leg pants that are in style now? What is so different between them and men’s pants? I think research should really be done before we dismiss this scripture because in the original King James Version it says God looks at it as an abomination, which means God hates it. So we should make sure we are correct in interpreting it.

I truely believe it has nothing to do with being Apostolic/Pentecostal in wearing skirts. It has everything to do with obeying God, and understanding the principles behind this as taught in scripture. Methodists, Lutherans, and many others chose to dress modestly in obedience to scripture in the past and have since lifted this modesty standard due mostly to either cultural and congregational pressure. It does not do scripture justice when it is delegated to Pentecostals only. Its just that Pentecostals seem to be one of the few who see and understand the significance of this. This is not legalism in anyway nor was it delegated to just Old Testament / Law times, but in obedience to God. He has always asked his people to be separate in every aspect of our lives from those of the secular and religious world. If this standard is just thought of as Law and of no regard for today let me toss a few thoughts your way. The 10 Commandments is Old Testament. Should we disregard them now that we are in grace period? What about Ministers and Pastors wearing dresses on the pulpit? Should men be allowed such a practice as long as the dress or skirt it cut / tailored for a man? Its sad that we look for things and disregard them as salvation / non-salvation issues. This practise is not ceremonial in anyway but more of a moral issue which makes it still in effect today. Can anybody walk through walmart and not see the effects of blurring the genders in attire young woman wearing clothing extremely revealing showing their undergarments and more. I applauded ever Lady both young and old for obedience to Gods word. It may not be convenient to obey scripture but its always the best thing to do. Gods word is forever settled in heaven.
